Located along Joo Chiat Road, this walk-up apartment reimagines contemporary urban living through a minimalist interpretation of Moroccan architecture. Originally configured as a three-bedroom residence, the home was transferred into a chic one-bedroom sanctuary, prioritising openness, light and spatial flow over conventional room divisions. The result is a highly personalised living environment where architecture itself becomes the focal point of the experience.

Inspired by the sculptural qualities of traditional Moroccan interiors, the design embraces seamless microcement finishes across floors, walls and built-in elements to create a continuous architectural language throughout the home. Soft curves, monolithic forms and carefully framed openings evoke the atmosphere of a contemporary cave-like retreat, while maintaining a refined and modern sensibility. The restrained material palette allows natural light, shadow and texture to shape the character of the space throughout the day.
