CLUB RANGOON

Located within a conserved shophouse along Duxton Road, Club Rangoon is a contemporary Burmese restaurant realised through coordinated build and execution works within the context of Singapore's historic urban fabric. The project balances the intimacy of the heritage setting with a more contemporary dining atmosphere shaped around the richness, warmth and handcrafted nature of Burmese cuisine.

Rather than relying on overt cultural references, the spatial environment is composed through layered material contrasts, softened lighting and carefully integrated dining arrangements that support a calm yet socially engaging restaurant experience. The relationship between dining, circulation and the architectural proportions of the existing shophouse was carefully considered to maintain continuity throughout the overall environment.
