Located along Liang Seah Street in the heart of Bugis, Hen Le Shan 很乐山 • 风味记 draws inspiration from the vibrant streets and everyday storefront of the 1980s. The restaurant reimagines an era when colour televisions first entered homes, illuminated signboards defined neighbourhood streets and bustling eateries became gathering places for family and friends.

Throughout the space, traditional metal scissor gates, jalousie windows, retro lightbox signages and mosaic floor tiles are reinterpreted through a modern design language. A restrained material palette forms the foundation of the interior, while nostalgic accents of green, red and yellow reference the visual identity of 1980s commercial streets and local eateries. These familiar elements create a sense of nostalgia while maintaining a contemporary spatial character suited to today's dining culture.
